happy...

well we got home this weekend and we've just been catching up on things to be done. we had a wonderful time in new york. it was so nice to get away for an extended time and just be family. running a business from home can take up all hours of the day, not really ever having time "away from the office". michael had such a busy summer of weddings, travel, etc. it was nice to be off for a while. and while some work still continued while we were there, we did a whole lot of nothing. it was great. i don't think makenzie was a huge fan of the walking but she did get used to it. she liked the cabs and subways and did enjoy looking around and exploring while walking. i think it was more of that she didn't have an end in sight when we would just wander around. if we asked her to run around at the park for 2 hours, i know that wouldn't have caused complaint. :) which we did spend alot of time at the park. she said that was her favorite part. ya, cuz we never do that here. :)

tonight when i was putting makenzie to bed i was just overwhelmed with a sense of joy and gratefulness. maybe my heart is just healing more from loosing two babies this year, i don't know. but i just feel happier these days. which is a good thing, i know. i'm just happy that i have a family - a husband who loves me and the most amazing little girl. she loves when i hold her and sing to her. she loves when i tickle her feet. she loves when i sit next to her. she loves when i color with her. she loves to snuggle with me when she wakes up. she loves to laugh with me. she loves me. and i couldn't ask for anything more.

life is good, i am blessed.
