when we got there on monday they told her she was in the blue group and to get a blue t-shirt. she was NOT excited about the "boy color" t-shirt. she hardly wanted to put it on. and to add to it, it was HUGE!! she was so disappointed in it. :) her teacher told her to decorate it to make it girly. my thoughts were to just tie up the sleeves with some ribbons and be done with it. well, jessica was over here and makenzie mentioned decorating her shirt. and jessica said, i have t-shirt decorating stuff, i'll bring it over!
so, makenzie was SO excited to make her shirt not look like a boy's shirt. she turned it over and starting covering up the boy superheroes on the back. she covered up superman and spiderman. she said, i won't cover up jesus, i love jesus. and she left the girl superheroes - wonder woman and the incredibles girl. well, i thought the shirt was dry and turned it over so she could work on the front. the next morning when we woke up i picked up the shirt and the paper towel that i had laid it on stuck to the back where she had put glitter glue over the boys! i was trying to get it off and was about to get it wet and makenzie told me that she liked it! that it covered up the boys better! she was so proud! we cut the sleeves shorted and the bottom off and she was SO happy with her now girly shirt!
i was laughing so hard at the result and she was so proud!

That was the funniest thing I've heard in a long time. Thanks for the laugh :).

That's darling! Tell her lots of Superheroes are girls, too. Show her my capes website and how cute and girly some of them are -- I sell just as many girl ones as I do boy! I'd love to make her one if she gets really into the Superhero thing! xo
How fun! I hope she has a good VBS week despite the tshirt. :)
It looks SO MUCH BETTER! It was a really ugly shirt and needed to be more sparkly. Everything is better more sparkly :)
