gymnastics camp...
makenzie did a gymnastics over her spring break and loved it so we did another one this month. she has so much fun and was very sad for the week to be over.

trip up to my mom and dad's...
right after gymnastics camp we drove up to my parents house in northern california. we drove up with a friend of mine who i grew up with up there who lives in san diego. she has three little ones, so it was quite the eventful 8 hour car ride! :) we had a ton of fun playing at my mom and dad's house. makenzie loves to play with them so the days were full of playing with trains, dolls, and tea parties. it was nice and relaxing. one day we will over to Berkeley and had a great time. We rode on a train, had a picnic, it was beautiful.

a new cousin...
we had to leave a day early from my parents to come back down because my brother and sister and law were heading to the hospital to have their third baby. she was born just after midnight on the 14th. Claire Danielle was 6lbs 15oz and 18 1/2 inches long. a little thing. :) dan has always teased about makenzie being a shortie and now he has a little munchkin of his own. :) dan and laurel's other kids are both blonds, so it was a little bit of surprise to see her with a full head of dark hair. i think she's taking after me. :) makenzie was completely in love with her. she was so natural about holding her, it was adorable.

family vacation...
after being home for two days from up north we left for a week for family vacation. we went up to bass lake to camp. we had so much fun! it was so nice to get away just the three of us. we swam, fished, went on the rock slides, visited yosemite for the day, went tubing on a boat. it was a blast. we took lots of pictures, more to come...

getting ready for school...
kindergarten starts on september 7th so we are gearing up for school around here. school clothes and school supply shopping. i CAN'T believe she is starting kindergarten so soon!

Super cute pics. It looks like y'all had a great summer.
Wow... seriously, how many crayolas and gluesticks does one small girl have to take to kindergarten??? That's crazy!
