first lost tooth...

at this age there are too many "firsts" anymore so it is pretty exciting when one comes around. back in the summer when makenzie went to the dentist, the doctor mentioned that her two bottom teeth were loose and would be out soon. i was shocked thinking we were a year away from her loosing teeth. :) well, for the past month her one tooth has been pretty wiggly. we tried a few times to pull it out but she panicked and it didn't happen. i think she was so afraid it was going to hurt. last week in napa julie pulled one of jake's teeth and she watched in horror and wasn't too convinced that it didn't hurt him. :) i couldn't ever seem to get a grip on it to just yank it so then she would end up screaming and we wouldn't get anywhere with it. i thought for sure it was going to fall out somewhere random and we wouldn't have pictures/video of the first tooth. well, yesterday after school michael convinced her to let him try and he finally got it!

she's saying ow ow ow until she hears he got it! hahaha... i love the huh??? she says :)

she was SO excited about telling her friends and about the tooth fairy coming. she ran into my room this morning saying, "i got a dollar under my pillow from the tooth fairy!!! she took my tooth!!!" later i showed her it was actually 10 dollars and she was even more excited.

(turns out the tooth fairy should have been a little more prepared for the first tooth because all she had was a $10 bill!!)

we got this cute little tooth fairy box up at bass lake...

could she look any more proud about her new lost tooth!?!?!

Maybe you should explain that the tooth fairy only pays $10 for the FIRST tooth... otherwise she might wiggle ALL of her teeth till the come out. ;)

she looks ADORABLE!!!

Wow! $10 for a tooth? Man, I only got 50 cents. Does she know the value of a $10 bill?

I know what she will be wanting for Christmas!

Too cute..thanks for sharing.

Tell her that Jake, Aly and Luke clapped and cheered for her. Jake said, "Why didn't she just believe me that it didn't hurt so we could watch her?" They were excited.:)

I don't even know why I watched that - I want to thow up! The poor look on her face brought back all the horrifying memories of having my teeth pulled!!! So funny you had to give her 10 - you just set a high bar for all future teeth lost! Tyler had a loose tooth at my parents house and my brother told him how he used to get 25 cents and Ty usually gets a dollar. He ended up losing it at my house later...he was sleeping in our room and I heard him wake up and look under his pillow, say 'YES!' and go back to sleep! Later he said to me that he was so glad he didn't lose it at nana and papa's cuz the tooth fairy only leaves 25 cents there! HAHA
