i was so excited to find a basset hound stuffed animal and makenzie loved it...
she opened the easy bake oven and said, "it's just what i wanted!" we asked her if she knew what it was and she said no. glad it was what she wanted! once we told her she was very excited about it and wanted to cook right then.
makenzie loves to listen to music and dance in her room. so we got her this idog that is speakers for an ipod. he wags his tail, taps his foot and wiggles his ears to the music. it is so cute!
she got several other fun things that night. a prince eric doll to go with ariel, jammies and slippers, a doll bunk bed, a cookbook, ballerina outfit and games. michael got me a toaster (ours was dying and took about 10 minutes to cook a piece of toast!), perfume, converse shoes, and a beach cruiser bike. so i scored some great gifts too!
christmas morning, seeing what santa brought. we videod most of this, so not too many pictures.
opening presents with michael's parents...
more fun things to play with like beads, books, puzzles and the leap frog tag reader. i felt like we did such a good job with toys this year. it was such a good amount. not too overwhelming and she loves everything!
trying out the easy bake oven. i've heard the food that comes with the oven is gross. i found a cookbook on amazon.com that a mom wrote for cooking with kid's ovens. she took regular recipes and cut them down to size for the oven. it included teaspoons that are for smidge, dash, pinch. so cute! it was amazing how small the amount of batter it was! she made a brownie from the cookbook. it didn't have a ton of flavor, but it wasn't too bad and makenzie actually liked it!
trying out the scooter santa left her. she was crazy fast on her three wheeled scooter and i was a little nervous that she wouldn't pick the razor up quite as fast and be frustrated. she proved me wrong. she does a great job on it and loves it!
