i know i've been slacking on my blog this week. We went up to Visalia on Friday night after the 80's party (pics of that coming soon). Michael shot a wedding with Tiffany up there on Saturday. Makenzie had a ton of fun playing all weekend with their little girl Avery. TIffany told me there was stuff to make pizza for dinner. Makenzie is not a huge pizza fan. She'll eat a couple bites and likes the crust, but it's not a favorite food at all. But I decided to make the pizza anyways. Makenzie came in the kitchen and asked if she and Avery could help. So, I decided to let them make their own pizzas. It was so cute, they were so excited. And to my great surprise Makenzie ate nearly all of it! So, I guess the key is for her to make it herself! :)
This is the girls yelling Pizza! for the picture...

Cyndie, how cute! I read something recently from a food person that when your kids help with the food prep, they are already invested and tend to eat it. I think he was actually talking about vegetables and letting them help peel or scrape them or prep them for the cooking and the table. I know mynephew is 3 and a half and he loves to pick the stems off of the tomatoes and stir the cornbread batter or whatever you will let him do and then he eats it with no problem.
So, I wanted to reinforce your deduction. :) If I find what I was reading, I will pass it on.
