last week makenzie was telling me that you put your right hand on your heart to say the pledge to the flag. i thought that was cute that she knew that. then on saturday i thought of that again and asked her, do you know the pledge of allegiance? and she said, yes and said it! it was so cute. i was so surprised that she knew it all. i dont know, shes only been going to school for 2 months, 2 days a week and she missed 3 weeks of school, just seemed surprising to me!
so, today i video taped her saying it. she's not much of a performer so she wasn't too excited about it. then i told her her mimi's and papa's would think she was so smart and cute. so she agreed. :)
the first time she did it she said "dalmation" instead of "one nation". michael and i laughed so she quit. then on the second try she got through it, but copper jumped on the counter during it so she talks to copper in the middle of it. so, not really one great take, but it's really cute. i also think she's saying "witches dance" instead of "for which is stands". haha!

What a smart 4 yr-old. Maybe we should put a proposition on the California ballot next time to change the words to include "get down Copper". Haha. Don't tell her, but we laughed so hard we cried. Mimi and Papa Nicol
